The Oregon Scientific BTHR968 Wireless Baro-Thermo-Hygrometer measures indoor temperature, indoor humidity, and barometric pressure. It is designed for use and included with the Oregon Scientific WMR112A and WMR968 Cable FreeTM Weather Stations. This wireless remote is powered by two AA (1.5V) alkaline batteries.

The BTHR968 features its own 4-line LCD panel for local viewing. In the top line, one of four weather forecast icons indicates Sunny, Partly Cloudy, Cloudy, or Rainy. This 12- to 24-hour forecast is based on air pressure changes and covers a 20- to 30-mile (32 to 48 km) radius.

The second line of the LCD panel displays the barometric pressure, the third line displays the temperature, and the fourth line displays the relative humidity.

The temperature measurement range of the BTHR968 is +23° to +122°F (-5° to +50°C, with resolution of 0.2°F (0.1°C). °F. The relative humidity measurement range is 25% to 90% with resolution of 1%. The barometric pressure measurement range is 17.72 inHg to 31.01 inHg (600 to 1050 mb) with accuracy of 0.03 inHg. Temperature and humidity information updates to the main weather station occur approximately every 40 seconds, while barometric pressure information updates occur once per hour.

Switches on the BTHR968 allow you to select °F or °C for the temperature display and inHg (inches of mercury) or mb/hPa (millibars/hecto Pascals) for the pressure display. Relative humidity is indicated in percent.

A reset button on this remote unit can be used to return all settings to their default values if the unit is malfunctioning.

The BTHR968 has an integral stand that folds out for table or shelf placement. With the stand folded in, flush with the case, the BTHR968 can be mounted on a wall.
