Weather Direct uses the power of the internet to deliver your weather directly to you! The Weather Direct display unit connects to the Gateway via RF radio transmission (300' range). They are never connected physically to the Gateway or your computer. As long as you have an internet connection and router, Weather Direct streams live weather and other customized data to your display.

You do not need a wireless router. The Gateway connects with a LAN cable to the internet router and plugs to an adapter. With a consumption of just over 1 watt, the Gateway meets all the latest and future energy saving requirements for home and office equipment.

The Weather Direct also includes an indoor / outdoor temperature sensor for real time local data. Also includes a temperature probe for measuring water temperatures. User definable alerts via email, sms, if the measured temperature meets an alert condition, adjustable by the user over the internet. History data is kept for several weeks and can be downloaded as an xml file. Get an alert if your fridge, deep freezer, heating system, air-conditioner fails.

For the First Year - This Weather Direct Model Includes Severe Weather Alerts: Keep your family safe with Severe Weather Alerts issued by the National Weather Service. This valuable information will help you prepare for upcoming weather events. Choose which types of severe weather events you want to receive for up to three locations. Even be alerted via e-mail or SMS text message when you are away from your Wireless Display.

It's a weather station with a voice... "Good morning John (Put Your Own Message Here), here's the forecast for Madison, Wednesday, July 15th..." Create your own custom message and it will say it before the forecast. The audio forecast button plays the current forecast and the A/B/C speaker buttons play information that you select. Listen to your choice of news headlines, entertainment, sports and more. Wake up to the information that you want to hear.

A wireless range of 330 feet allows you to put the display device almost anywhere you want. A PC is only required for one-time easy set-up or to customize features.
