Wireless weather stations and digital clocks by Honeywell that display outdoor temperature and, for some models, outdoor humidity require remote sensors to measure these values and transmit them to the main station or clock. While these stations and clocks always include one remote sensor, some stations and clocks can work with up to three sensors. For these products, any desired additional sensors must be purchased separately.
The Honeywell TS03C is white with a red front-panel LED that flashes once when temperature data is being transmitted and twice when the battery gets low.

The Honeywell TS03C Temperature Remote Sensor is a basic remote transmitter intended primarily for use with Honeywell weather stations and clocks that display temperature but not humidity. The TS03C reports the temperature from its outdoor (or other remote) location to the weather station or clock. Please be aware that this sensor has no temperature display of its own.

The TS03C is particularly well suited to extended low temperature operation. When temperatures below freezing are expected for an extended time period, you can install two lithium AA batteries instead of alkaline. Lithium cells provide superior performance in sub-zero temperature conditions.

In the TS03C's battery compartment are a channel 1, 2, or 3 selection switch, a switch that selects °C or °F for the transmitted temperature, and a Reset button that you press with a paper clip or similar tool after changing the batteries.

The TS03C Remote Temperature Sensor can rest on a horizontal surface, or it can be wall-mounted via a keyhole slot on the back. The remote transmits 433 MHz signals and operates on two AA alkaline or lithium batteries (not included). Average battery life is approximately 1 year. The LED on the TS03C flashes once when it transmits a temperature reading to the main unit. When it flashes twice, this indicates a low battery condition.

Important Information on Remote Sensor Compatibility: You can use a Honeywell temperature-only sensor with a Honeywell product that displays both temperature and humidity, but the humidity display for the temperature sensor's channel will be blank. Similarly, you can use a Honeywell temperature and humidity sensor with a Honeywell product that displays temperature only, in which case humidity is not displayed for the temperature and humidity sensor's channel.
